MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte on Wednesday brushed off the disbarment complaints filed against her.
“In Bisaya, ‘puwera bahala’ (whatever happens, happens). Whoever they side with will win. So we’ll strike, and let’s see where it lands,” Duterte said.
Article continues after this advertisementDuterte made the pronouncement after anti-poverty czar—and also disbarred lawyer—Lorenzo “Larry” Gadon filed a disbarment complaint against her before the Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday.

According to Duterte, she has yet to read the complaint that Gadon filed, acknowledging that she knows of other complaints seeking her disbarment.

Article continues after this advertisement“I have not read the two complaints, so I can’t say what’s contained there. I only based it on news reports,” Duterte said in Filipino.

The High Court on Tuesday said it received an anonymous complaint seeking the disbarment of Duterte after her remarks of exhuming the late former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
